This study is to find the differences in the characteristics of responses to Draw-A-Person-in-the-Rain(DAPR) and discriminatory power between journalists' experience level of psychological trauma and work engagement. The research subjects were 143 journalists in daily newspapers, economic journals, and broadcasting companies located in S-city, D-city and G-regions. A survey was conducted on the journalists using ATMQ, UWES, and DAPR. First, this study verified the difference in the response characteristics of DAPR between the upper and lower groups of the journalists' experience level of psychological trauma, which showed significant differences in total stress level, amount of rain, contact with rain and clouds and number and area of clouds. Second, this study verified the difference in the response characteristics of DAPR between the upper and lower groups of journalists' work engagement level, which showed significant differences in total coping resources level and their facial appearance. Third, this study verified the difference in the response characteristics of DAPR between clusters as per the journalists' experience level of psychological trauma and work engagement, which showed significant differences in total stress level, the contact with rain and cloud, the number and area of clouds, the total number of protectors, and facial expressions, and the overall discriminatory power was 50.4%. So, this study identified the usability of DAPR test as a diagnostic tool to measure the journalists' experience level of psychological trauma and work engagement.
